About Areesh Alam — Founder & CEO at World Ecosystem Reform Corporation

Greetings, I am Areesh Alam, the Founder and CEO of World Ecosystem Reform Corporation — WeReform. I am pleased to announce that the platform I have been developing for the past eight months is nearing completion, with only a few major steps remaining before it is fully operational. Before delving into the specifics of the platform and its campaign, I would like to introduce myself comprehensively, as there may be interest in my background. I am a 19-year-old residing in New South Wales, Australia. I am a Full-Stack Developer and Graphic Designer with four years of experience, coupled with three years of managerial experience in non-technical roles. I was born in Rabwah, Pakistan. Due to religious persecution I was forced to migrate to Thailand, where I lived as refugees. I pursued my education through tuition centers, online courses, and self-tutoring. Upon relocating to Australia. Enduring the challenges of being a refugee, I remained dedicated to learning, supported by my parents. From 2020 to up until now, I focused on acquiring knowledge online, applying it, and collaborating with businesses. In Thailand, despite being a refugee and facing many hardships, we had access to the internet and computer devices. My interest in computer science and technology drove me to pursue education in full-stack development with graphic design as a secondary field. I worked tirelessly, often spending over 14 to 16 hours a day learning and working. During this time, I collaborated with several businesses, using my skills and gaining valuable experience. In Late 2022, I initiated the project of a social network, BEGENONE. However, due to various life challenges and hardships, I was unable to work continuously on this project. Despite these interruptions, I was only able to spent as least as 5 months to as max as eight months actively developing the platform. The stringent censorship and governmental regulations on social media propelled me to take action. My primary motivation was to create a positive online space free from the negativity that leads to depression and anxiety. As censorship laws intensified in mid-2023, I recognized the urgent need to ensure that everyone could freely express themselves. As of July 2024, the project is almost complete. Major setups are in place, with a few significant implementations remaining. With the support of our users—YOU, this platform aims to become a significant success. In light of the overwhelming media landscape, I have reconsidered my decision to pursue a university education. With the global crises and pressing issues such as the war in Palestine, I feel a sense of urgency that cannot be ignored. A bachelor's degree typically takes four years, and pursuing a master's would extend this to eight years. Given the current state of the world, I believe I do not have the luxury of time. My primary field of interest is human rights activism. My secondary field of interests include information technology and politics. My tertiary field of interests vary and may change based on circumstances. I am happy to announce that I am no longer alone in this endeavor. I now have a team of like-minded individuals committed to making this project a success. I wish you all a blessed, happy, peaceful, and joyous life. Take care, and I look forward to seeing you on BEGENONE.

Some of the people might be wondering why it took me so long to complete this project?

Simple Answer is, I spearheaded the design and implementation of the platform, bringing most of its functionalities to completion several months ago. However, due to unavoidable similarities with existing platforms, a redesign became necessary. The finalized design is the fourth or fifth iteration, and this version will be the definitive one, with only minor variations expected. Originally intended for basic use and advertising, the platform has been continually adapted to address a broader range of social media issues. This adaptability may appear to be a matter of policy, and indeed, it is driven by policy considerations. Due to evolving policies, I have repeatedly re-evaluated and modified functionalities and features to ensure they align seamlessly with our updated guidelines.
